Here at Blacklight headquarters, we value our player community, and all the effort you put into not only playing our game, but growing our community and reaching out to other players. In honor of you, our agents, we are proud to bring you the newest Player Spotlight. This week, we introduce you to a fellow agent, JigJug!

Community Questionaire

How long have you played Blacklight?

I started playing Blacklight back in July 3rd of 2012, I remember because I downloaded it on my way to get fireworks for the 4th. Back then I was considered a steam noob, and most of us were hated by the veterans of the community, now I’m considered a vet, weird how that works.

What’s your favorite weapon and why?

Before the recoil patch, I fell in love with the BPFA just because it was so damn easy and the puff puff sound it made. Currently I’d have to say M4X.

What’s your favorite game mode and why?

My favorite game mode in Blacklight would have to be Search + Destroy (SnD), no one ever plays it, and the competitive community detests it but it just feels right for a competitive game mode, oh and I absolutely hate Domination.

What’s your favorite map and why?

My favorite map is between the popular Vertigo and the not so popular…wait for it…Trench.
I fell in love with Vertigo when I first started playing the game, I loved the variety of it, how there was ample amounts of both CQC and long range gameplay. The kind of map where you could drop 40+ kills with either a Bolt-action rifle or a SMG.  (It has a special spot in my heart because it was the first map I got 40+ kills.)

I reason I like Trench is mostly for reminiscing and I always seem to do really well on that map, it’s probably the head glitches. The reminiscing part comes from the out of the map glitches where you could just hop in a server with friends and try to find more secrets.

What games do you play when you’re NOT owning in Blacklight?

As of right now, I play CS:GO, CS:S, Final Fantasy 7, Thief, CoD 4, and Larry has recently convinced me to buy South Park: The Stick of Truth, which is pretty awesome I might add.

When future humans uncover videos of the ancient Blacklight: Retribution, the religion that apparently spanned the globe, what will you be best known for?

Probably Beyonce, my forum bans, my couch, and my nipples.

Geez that sounds horrible.

You've been called by many as the living breathing meme generator of BLR. A title I think most lovingly well deserved, can you give us a brief overview of your meteoric rise to stardom?

I’ve always been a star, bic boi. Nah, for a while I was only known for my forum posting (posting, not trolling) it’s somewhat nice to be recognized for gun skill rather than being a dbag on the forums.

As for meme generators, I’d like to let my friend Vark0s take care of that in the comments below.

I have to ask, How is your couch holding up today?

Dry, urabask, very dry.

As one of the more outspoken forum warriors we have here, you've seen and been a part of a lot, what drives you to contribute as much as you do?

My love for the game. I’ve never been a part of a community like ours, it’s quite special honestly (interpret that as you will ;D.)

As one of the elder statesmen of BLR, how do you feel about how far we've come as a Community? What do you hope to see in the future?

As a community I think we’ve both improved and diminished over time. I’ve seen a lot of new players in game that seem to love it, but have also seen a lot of oldies that loved the game leave. I’d like to see the whole MLG and ESL thing work out, giving us an actual established competitive league, and most of all I’d like to see the devs put in some work towards the PC community. For a Free-to-Play game there has to be updates at least monthly.

You are also one of the more competitive members of the community. Do you compete in any other games out there?

Yes, but on a very minor level, I’m on a CEVO team for CS:GO, but CEVO is a bit of a joke no actual challenge. And as weird as it sounds, I played competitive NBA 2k12, but again that’s nothing huge.

I’d have to say Blacklight is the only game where I can say I’m one of the top players and can compete at the highest level.

How do you prepare for an upcoming competition?

The best way I’ve found to warm-up is to play a Deathmatch exclusively with other competitive players, it’ll help you engaging other good players that have the ability to completely stomp you. It also helps your mentality, you’ll eventually get used to dying in absurd situations, so when it happens in a tournament it won’t drag you down at all.  I’ve seen some players just pub stomping but going 40-0 against bad players isn’t going to help you in the long run, besides boosting your ego.

Oh and obviously practicing with your team and learning the strengths + weaknesses.

Ok, time for the curve ball... If you could be any character in the Disney Universe, who would you be and why?

First off, are we talking Disney or Pixar?

If Pixar Sully from Monster’s Inc. Hands down, no explanation needed. Being a 7 ft. blue furry monster would just be fantastic.

If we’re talking Disney I’d have to go with either Mushu the dragon from Mulan (because who doesn’t want to be a dragon,) or go with The Prince from Tangled.
