New Update to ZEN!
Hey Everyone!
We’re constantly looking for ways to improve Arc and give our players a hassle-free, intuitive experience. Today we’re making a big change to our billing process that we think will make charging clearer, more concise, and give you the information that’s relevant to you and your game.
We are removing portal-wide Zen from Arc.
Why? Simple – it’s completely unnecessary. You will now only have to choose the price point in your local currency, preferred payment gateway, game, and server, and you’ll see exactly how much in-game currency you’ll receive.
Keep in mind that some games will continue to call their in-game currency “Zen” while others call it “Gold,” or “Silver,” and one even uses “Leaves” (looking at you, Forsaken World). All of those game-specific currencies will remain in place within their respective games, but Zen on an Arc level is going away.
Here’s how it works
From the Charge page, select the amount you wish to charge, your preferred payment gateway, and press “Continue.”
In the example below, a US player is charging $50 using PayPal.
On the next screen, you’ll choose your game and server. When you select your game, the game-specific conversion displays automatically, including any appropriate bonuses or promotions.
Here, the player has selected PWI and the Harshlands server. Arc will show the exact amount of PWI gold the player will receive in-game
Once you hit the “Purchase” button, you’ll be charged the appropriate amount and the currency will be sent straight to your game.
By removing Arc-wide currency and switching to displaying game-specific currencies on the payment page, we’re making it easier for you to identify the real world value of the in-game items you’re buying, thus removing any guess work or the need to do complex conversions in your head before you make a purchase. You’ll know now exactly how much in-game currency you’re getting each time you make a purchase no matter what game it’s for.
