Neverwinter

Neverwinter Xbox One: Monster Manual: Blue Dragon

By Andy (StrumSlinger) | Mon 29 Jun 2015 10:00:00 AM PDT

Blue dragons bask in vanity and pride. Fully aware of how strong they are, they’re almost too willing to boast about their status and ability to kill anyone and anything that is beneath them, but they won’t, because they don’t want to waste their time on something so insignificant to them. Like a snobby lord with all the power and lands at his behest, blue dragons also follow a hierarchy and are the most orderly of the chromatic dragons, and follow a monarchy or patriarchy system.

Making their homes in underground caves in deserts and arid wastelands, they take to the skies to search for prey amongst the open expanse beneath them. Blue dragons prefer to attack from above and excel in aerial combat.  Due to this, they rarely land in combat, preferring to stay in the air. They can aim their lightning breath with extreme accuracy and actually smell like lightning themselves.

Physically, they have a single horn, which protrudes from their heads and have large extravagant wings, which are more flexible than any of the other chromatic dragons. Their scales can be slightly reflective when in the light, but lose its reflective nature in the dark.

The only notable blue dragon currently in Neverwinter Xbox One is Venfithar, who makes his home atop a waterfall in Rothé Valley. Of course, with the Well of Dragons coming in Rise of Tiamat, you’re sure to meet another blue dragon in the desert, along with other chromatic dragons.

Next week, we’ll inform you on the most famous chromatic dragons of them all, the red dragon.
