With Neverwinter: Rise of Tiamat looming behind us, we’ll give more of an insight on the brand new zone, the Well of Dragons. This massive desert is home to the final part of the Tyranny of Dragons campaign, which we previously did a series of guides on. Without spoiling too much, we’ll discuss what you can expect with the Well of Dragons.

To access the new zone, you must be level 60 and have completed the “Assist the Zhentarim” task five times. Upon doing so, our good friend Harper Boward in Protector’s Enclave will have a quest, which will have you meeting up with Elminster Aumar in the Well of Dragons, the same mage that was the host to the Protector’s Jubilee.

Upon arrival, you’ll notice a group of familiar faces, who have all convened to stop Severin from performing a ritual to summon Tiamat. Much like the Tyranny of Dragons campaign, this group of NPCs will be your quest-givers for the Well of Dragons. Completing their quests will also reward you with Fallen Dragon Fangs, the new campaign currency specific to the Well of Dragons.

There are a number of Heroic Encounters in the Well of Dragons that involve more than just slaying a fearsome dragon. They vary from scouting the area to various ways to impede on the Cult of the Dragon’s activities. Of course, there are also dragons of each color that spawn in the zone and are a great way to “farm” dragons without the need to go to the different adventure zones. There are various ways of strategizing when it comes to saving time and taking down the new set of dragons, but if we told you, it would ruin the adventure! Team up and explore the Well of Dragons!
