Gear is by far the most sought after item in Neverwinter. Equipping the right gear could mean life or death, so understanding the properties of each piece allows you to truly tune your character to your liking. Depending on what class you’re using, your preferences for gear will change.
There are 12 main gear slots: Head, Armor, Arms, Main Hand, Off-Hand, Feet, Neck, Right Ring, Left Ring, Waist, Shirt and Trousers. Additionally, there are different types of each slot: White, Green, Blue, Purple (Tier 1, 2, Black Ice and PvP) and Orange.
Gear can be obtained from quests, monsters and chests while the more powerful gear can be obtained from Dungeons and Skirmishes. If you decide to take part in PvP, there are specialized gear that contain the attribute Tenacity, which increases damage resistance from other players. PvP Gear can be bought from the Trade of Blades shop in Neverwinter.
Of course, as we stated in our previous spotlight on Professions, gear can be crafted from the Platesmithing, Weaponsmithing, Artificing, Jewelcrafting, Leatherworking, Mailsmithing, Tailoring and Black Ice Shaping paths.
As you can see, there are quite a few ways to obtain gear, but obtaining the right gear requires determination and a sense of adventure!
Neverwinter for Xbox One will be available on March 31st. Check out the official page here.
