When Neverwinter went live, we also revealed Fury of the Feywild which is our first content expansion and Module coming in Summer 2013. Fury of the Feywild also introduces the new region of Sharandar, three campaign areas, new enemies, new loot, new professions, and a new dungeon: Malabog Castle.

Sharandar, located deep within Neverwinter Wood, was the capital of Iliyanbruen and was once a prosperous and splendorous city. However, the city and its kingdom were not fated to last. After Sharandar’s downfall, the people of Iliyanbruen transported most of the city into the Feywild seeking refuge. Unfortunately, they encountered new threats and dangers such as the fomorians who had seized control of that area of the Feywild. But, they survived the struggle and secured themselves a new home in the Feywild meanwhile driving the fomorians into the Feydark.

Recently, the fierce and ruthless fomorian king named Malabog embarked on a campaign to destroy Sharandar and reclaim the ancient fomorian castle abandoned long ago. With the aid of his spell-charmed elf ally, he reached out to Valindra Shadowmantle, offering her aid to take Neverwinter if she assists in asserting his dominance over Sharandar. Valindra agreed and gave Malabog her blue orb of dragonkind, which he used to charm the elder blue dragon Fulminorax.

With his dark fey forces and a blue dragon under his control, King Malabog successfully sized an ancient fey castle to claim as his stronghold. But, King Malabog seeks control of all of Sharandar. Knowing this, a moon elf fey knight named Merrisara Winterwhite and her people were determined to defend what remains in their control and eliminate these aggressive fomorian forces. Grudgingly, the valiant knight is also seeking outside help to keep Sharandar safe.

During your adventures in Sharandar, you and your dungeon party will storm Malabog Castle and rid the stronghold of its fomorian forces. If you are successful, King Malabog’s chances of complete dominance will weaken significantly. What may you encounter inside Malabog’s Castle? Be on the lookout for Krol Nightforge, a cyclops serving King Malabog as his master smith. Survive that encounter and your party will face King Malabog and his forces remaining in the castle – you must succeed!
