We wanted to share some tips on how to customize your hero with Mods and Fusions, making you into exactly the hero you want to be!
Using mods allows you to fine-tune and tweak gear to have the stats you need and want, and allows gear to be much more compatible to your play style. This means that you can decide what stat spread you are happy with on your gear. Mods also allow you to add special stats to gear such as Bonus Healing, Critical Chance, Dodge Chance, and Bonus HP. These stats all put together can make for very potent items that allow you to customize your build even further – make your equipment your own!
Another benefit of mods is that you get extra stat points to spend in gear that would normally not be possible! Rank 5 mods grant 55 points to a single stat at level 40, which is higher than any piece of predetermined gear can reach! Rank 9 mods grant up to 66 stat points! This means that if you fill out all of your gear with rank 9 mods you actually get an additional 66 stat points to spend in a new stat without impacting the stat spread that you had at rank 5 mods!
There are quite a few ways to get mods. First, the crafting nodes scattered around the world will give you both mods and catalysts. When you’re upgrading your mods, use catalysts to increase your success rate! The second place you can get mods is by doing Burst alerts. These alerts not only give you a chance at some excellent Mods, but also grant a buff that gives you a chance to harvest two Mods from a crafting node! The third way to get mods is to do Lairs and Comic series, where bosses all have a chance to drop high-end mods.
You can fuse mods to upgrade them any time you have 5 of the same mod at the same rank! Just open your inventory and drag the mods to the fuse tab to start! Your fusion success chance is directly tied to your crafting skill and your catalyst! Catalysts are consumed regardless of whether you succeed or fail, but there is a special kind of catalyst: insurance catalysts, which are only consumed if you fail, and will protect you from losing a mod if you do! This means that you never have to lose your hard-earned rank 8 mod. You should use insurance and try and maximize your skill for the best results at fusion. To increase your skill, just fuse mods and harvest crafting nodes – simple as that!
Mods and fusion are powerful tools to make you the hero you want to be and allow you to bring the fight to even the greatest of foes! They provide new and fun ways to tweak and refine your build.
