We're launching a special event with the Phoenix Prize Pack! From February 7th at 8am PT (17:00 CEST) until February 14th at 10am PT (19:00 CEST), you'll be able to pick up a free Phoenix Prize Pack from Grym on Drozana Station or Onna on Deep Space Nine, once per day. These Prize Packs contain the prizes of the past, allowing you access to the weapons, items, and ships you may have missed over the years in Star Trek Online. You can see a full list of the prizes contained within, below!
The Phoenix Prize Pack is a special pack, purchased with Dilithium (or obtained for free, during this event). Opening it grants you a token of one of five rarities, and you can redeem that token for a list of prizes on that rarity tier.
But that's not all. During this limited time event, the Experimental Starship Upgrade tokens are returning to the Phoenix Prize Pack! You'll be able to claim them in the Ultra Rare tier, and power up one of your T5-U or T6 ships with a new Device Slot, a New Console, and a special Trait slot! These tokens will only be available in this pack during this event, so don't miss your chance.
We’re pleased to announce the return of the Research and Development Weekend! This event will run from February 7th at 8AM PT (16:00 CET) to February 14th at 10AM PT (18:00 CET), and features several bonuses throughout STO that will give Captains of all levels a leg up advancing their rank in the Research and Development school(s) of their choice.
For those Captains looking specifically for extra help with their projects, all R&D packs throughout the game will give out an extra 25% of the items they currently disperse for the duration of this event. Queue R&D Material Reward Packages (Normal, Advanced and Elite) will reward 25% more R&D Materials and have a chance to reward a Catalyst.
Alternatively, Captains wanting to advance through Research and Development schools as fast as possible should seek out Harvest Nodes, located in mission maps throughout STO, which will not only disperse 2 extra R&D Materials each time they are used, but will also reward 10 Dilithium Ore and have a chance to give out a R&D Catalyst during this event.
For all Captains that work on a Research and Development project during this weekend event, those projects will reward an extra 50% of the appropriate Research and Development School XP. This includes projects to make components as well as those to make items.
