Exciting changes are coming to rogue in Neverwinter: Undermountain. If you haven’t already, take a look at the introduction to classes developer blog which discusses the class changes overall as well as high level adjustments to healing and tanking.

Rogue is a powerful damage dealing class on live and will continue that role in Undermountain. The changes rogue will see is mainly to bring them into alignment with the new combat changes as well as to better differentiate the paragon paths.

The rogue paragon path, Assassin, is built around powerful attacks to take down enemies quickly. From deadly encounter powers like Assassinate which deals more damage from behind the target, to feats that coat your weapons with poison to enhance all of your attacks, the assassin is not someone you want to find as your enemy. 

The Whisperknife is skilled in misdirection as a means to dispatch their enemies. And while they are strong at melee combat, they are equally as skilled from range including the new At-will Shuriken Toss which hits 3 enemies at a time. Feat choices offer strong synergy between stealth and abilities including Shady Preparations which reduces encounter cooldowns whenever you enter stealth, and Shadowy Opportunity which increases the damage of your attacks for 5 seconds after leaving stealth. 

Whether it is many foes or only one powerful enemy, the rogue has many options in eliminating any threat and is a versatile and flexible combatant that rises to any challenge.
