Neverwinter

Adventure in Narbondellyn!

By Ambassador Kael | Mon 10 Jul 2023 10:36:48 AM PDT

Gromph Baenre, the Archmage of Menzoberranzan, has recovered his lost demon summoning tome, Zhaun'ol'leal. Angry with Lolth’s tampering of his previous ritual that triggered the Rage of Demons, Gromph spent his time planning his retribution. Pouring over countless tomes within the Sorcere, the Archmage located the perfect ritual that would allow him to temporarily connect the Material Plane to the Demonweb Pits of the Abyss. What Gromph plans to achieve in creating such a bridge between these two planes of existence where Lolth resides, only time will tell.

With the plan in motion, the spell began to materialize and fracture under its own weight, rending the very neighborhood of Narbondellyn torn asunder by the Abyssal magic. Once again Gromph was deceived, and his plans were changed allowing demons to enter the Material Plane. With the planes joined, Lolth has moved into the Underdark for a time to watch her webs of chaos ensnare those working to save Menzoberranzan.

Both Lolth and Gromph must be stopped before the god of the Demonweb Pit can raze Menzoberranzan to the ground! Agents from Bregan D’aerthe, Sorcere mages and adventurers from Neverwinter must work together to build, 'The Realm Engine', an ancient apparatus of lost Netherese design that when fueled with Abyssal magic, can be focused upon Lolth to return her to the Demonweb pits and seal the planar bridge.
