The namesake of this massive update on Xbox One, Elemental Evil, Elemental Evil introduces the Oathbound Paladin class, an increase in level to 70, four new or reimagined zones among a plethora of other changes. In this entry of the handbook, we’ll talk about your average adventurer’s progress through this expansion.
With the level cap increasing to 70, the Elemental Evil zones serve as the main source of XP to get you from level 60 to 70. The four zones are the Drowned Shores, Reclamation Rock, Fiery Pit and Spinward Rise; each being invaded by a different Cult of Elemental Evil true to the zone’s nature. Adventurers will have to complete Vigilance Quests in order to move on to the next area and zone, which are daily quests designed to give you the whole Elemental Evil experience.
Before even stepping foot into the Elemental Evil zones, you must be level 60 and speak with Sergeant Knox who will give you the “Going to Seed” quest. While heading to Archdruid Morningdawn, you’ll notice a majestic tree has replaced the statue of Lord Neverember, which is Protector’s Enclave’s only defense from the Cults of Elemental Evil. Archdruid Morningdawn asks you to go on a series of quests to investigate disturbances and collect seeds.
Aiding you in the main storyline is Minsc, hero of Rasheman and his miniature giant space hamster, Boo! They’ll work as NPCs as you travel through certain instances in search of seeds to maintain the balance of the Tree of Elemental Evil.
Once you complete the Elemental Evil questline to a certain point, you’ll be directed towards the aforementioned Elemental Evil zones to complete the Vigilance Quests and to prevent evil from spreading to Protector’s Enclave. By completing Spinward Rise, the final zone, you’ll receive the most powerful main-hand Artifact weapon for your class, which makes your journey worth the adventuring.
Elemental Evil comes to Xbox One in September!
