Role: Control and DPS

As masters of life and death, Scourge Warlocks weave their way through the battlefield, debuffing enemies and stealing their precious life. Scourge Warlocks have three paths they may walk; all three, very different and dependent on the way you see their darkness.

If you choose the Fury path, nothing but fire and death rain upon your enemies. The Damnation path allows your conjured Soul Puppet to become a force of its own, eventually allowing it to remain permanently on the field until it dies. The Temptation path is for generous Warlocks who choose to rip the life essence from enemies in order to heal allies.

Class Mechanic: Warlock’s Curse

The Scourge Warlock may choose to place a curse on up to three different targets, increasing the damage they receive from you by 20% split evenly. Many of the Warlock’s powers behave differently on cursed enemies, further enhancing their control mechanics.

A Scourge Warlock can also summon a Soul Puppet to fight alongside you. At first, the Soul Puppet will only remain active for 120 seconds or until they’ve attacked 5 times, but with the right feats, the Soul Puppet can remain at your side for as long as it has HP. Think of it as another companion – a creepy companion filled with void.

In Battle:

Primarily ranged fighters, Scourge Warlocks use Powers like Killing Flames, which increases damage based on the target’s missing HP. Fiery Bolt explodes upon hitting the target, dealing reduced damage to nearby targets. Harrowstorm calls a churning storm of eldritch power around your target, damaging them and enemies around them for a brief duration.

For those in need of some Life Steal, Warlock’s Bargain forges a link between an enemy’s soul and your own. You sacrifice 15% of your own health to steal life from your target over time. In addition, 15% of your incoming damage is redirected to your linked target. Use this Power wisely.

Scourge Warlocks are not for the faint of heart and can only be fully realized with a sense of sinister darkness.
