Hunting returns in Lost City of Omu! Players can hunt new rare and exotic beasts amongst and below the city ruins in the expansive undercity.

Volothamp Geddarm is back to enlist the help of adventurers whose research can expand his impressive bestiary, Volo’s Guide to Monsters. Adventurers will return to Hunter’s Square in Port Nyanzaru where the Chultan hunters are offering new lures to trade for your hard-earned trophies. Beasts of legend roam freely over and under the lost city, haunting locals and outsiders alike.

When you place a lure at the correct location you summon the appropriate monster, spoiling for a fight. There are three categories of hunt, 1-star, 2-star, and 3-star. There are six 1-star hunts, three 2-star hunts, and one 3-star hunt. Hunts will also pose a substantial challenge to a single player, so it is wise to look for other adventurers in the Hunters’ Square and form a team before you go hunting. Only one player will need a lure to summon your target, but going alone is not advisable.

Omu introduces a new hunt hierarchy which propels hunters towards an ultimate confrontation with an undead towering T-Rex monstrosity, the Tyrant! Successfully defeating the hunt target has a chance to reward players with a trophy. A 2-star lure requires two trophies from different 1-star hunts, but successfully completing a 2-star hunt has a chance of rewarding one of the three trophies needed to earn a lure for the 3-star hunt—the Tyrant. Players will face new beasts like hulking gorillas as well as elite combatants of the various races who roam the lost city before they can confront the Tyrant.

Defeating hunt targets awards Lost Idols and Omuan Treasures to all party members, as well as a chance at either the trophy for that beast or one of a number of pieces of rare equipment. Each beast awards a unique selection of items, so a wise adventurer will want to complete all of the Hunts in the Lost City of Omu.
