Two New Ships Join the Infinity Lock Box!

By Ambassador Kael | Tue 05 Jan 2021 09:00:00 AM PST

The Infinity Lock Box, containing prizes from nearly all previously-retired Lock Boxes, will be available again on Console on January 12th. During this time, enemies defeated on both Ground and Space maps will have a small chance of dropping one of these prize-filled packages, while the Angel’s Wake Lock Box will be retired.

This run of the Infinity Lock Box will contain two all-new Tier 6 Starships, the Mirror Warship [T6], and the Deimos-class Pilor Destroyer, and several new prizes will be added to the Lobi store. Continue reading further on for the full details on these new offerings!

Mirror Warship [T6]

After crossing over into the Mirror Universe and aiding Empress Sato in her takeover, the Constitution-class ship formerly known as the U.S.S. Defiant was unquestionably the most powerful vessel of its time and timeline. However, that wasn’t enough for the warmongering Terran Empire or its Empress, and the ship saw a series of continual refits to emphasize the tactical superiority it already held over other vessels. More weapon emplacements, more powerful engines, and a bloodthirsty crew made it a warship that kept the Empire strong for years.

The Mirror Warship features two Commander Seats – Engineering and Tactical, in addition to a Lieutenant Commander Universal/Intelligence Seat.

Console - Universal - Interphasic Rift Generator

When activated, this console generates a naturally closing, smaller version of the Interphasic Rift that doomed the U.S.S. Defiant and sent it to the Mirror Universe. Despite its smaller scale, it is no less devastating to foes who are in contact with the rift, as their ship will suffer from extreme physical stresses, power fluctuations, and difficulty moving, if they even have the power to.

This console additionally provides a boost to Critical Severity and Hull Capacity. It can be equipped on any starship, in any slot, but you may only equip one of these consoles.

Terran Goodbye (Starship Trait)

Whenever you defeat a foe, you will gain a temporary boost to critical hit chance and accuracy rating that lasts for several seconds and stacks up to 3 times.

Deimos-class Pilot Destroyer [T6]

The A500 series of Synthetics was created to serve Starfleet. While not as advanced as a Soong-type Android, and certainly lacking the interpersonal skills that Data would come to learn and display, the A500 was enough of a success that they were put to work throughout some of Starfleet's most dangerous jobs. There was even a ship designed for their use, mostly for transport and for defense of the Utopia Planetia shipyards. Due to the synthetic nature of their operators, these ships are faster, more nimble, and more accurate than the counterparts designed to be run by other sentients.

Unfortunately, a fleet of these ships was used to conduct the assault on Utopia Planetia in 2385. Due to their use in that attack, Starfleet halted their production and put them aside, until very recently. Starfleet Engineers have retrofitted these ships to operate with sentient controllers, without losing their agility.

The Deimos-Class Pilot Destroyer features a Commander Tactical/Pilot seat, and a Lieutenant Commander Tactical/Intelligence seat.

Console - Universal - Immolating Phaser Lance

This multi-purpose device is well suited for asteroid removal, planetary defense, or general widespread destruction. After a short charge period, it channels a massive burst of Phaser Damage out the front of your ship and into the target and nearby area. This console can store enough power for six shots at a single time, but takes time to recover both between shots and to built the charge back up.

This console also provides a passive boost to Phaser Damage and Starship Shield Penetration skills.

Experimental Weapon - Kinetic Feedback Matrix

The Kinetic Feedback Matrix deals heavy kinetic damage its target. Subsequent hits on the same target will grant a boost to Energy Weapon Haste. It has a 180 degree targeting arc.

Starship Trait - Formation Flying

While this trait is slotted, activating any distress call will summon a pair of Synth Destroyers that fight alongside you for a short duration, devastating the nearby area with phaser beams. They have an immolating phaser lance that's synchronized with your firing control, activating it whenever and wherever you do.

New Lobi Store Items!

The following all-new items will be available in the Lobi Store when this update releases:

Phase Pistol (22c.)

The Phase Pistol was a type of phase-modulated energy weapon; a personnel sidearm characterized by a focused energy discharge in the form of a steady stream or a phase pulse. It was introduced in 2151 for use by Starfleet personnel as a replacement to the EM-33 pistol. This re-creation has been updated to be suitable for modern field work, while maintaining its classic appeal. This weapon can be fired continuously, drilling through any target. It can also be overloaded and kicked at your target in extreme situations.

MACO Pulse Rifle (22c.)

This early type of energy rifle was a standard-issue carbine directed energy particle weapon in the 22nd century for members of an Earth division of ground troops known as MACO. This re-creation has that “vintage” look, but is suitable for modern combat operations. It has a chance to improve most ground stats for a short duration when fired.

Wide Arc Phase Cannons (22c.)

Phase Cannons are a type of particle weapon which served as a successor to plasma cannons and as a precursor to the phaser of the 23rd and 24th centuries. These weapons have been updated to work with modern weapon systems and targeting arrays. They grant a boost to Energy and Projectile Weapon damage when hitting a downed shield facing.

These special weapons are comparable to Dual Heavy Cannons, but have a wider firing arc. They may be used on any starship but you may only equip one of these cannons.

Spatial Torpedo Launcher (22c.)

Spatial torpedoes were torpedo weapons carried aboard Starfleet ships during the 22nd century, prior to the installation of photonic torpedoes and other more powerful modern warheads. Upgraded to work with contemporary weapon systems, these special torpedoes deal extra damage when hitting empty shield facings.

Console - Universal - Reinforced Weapon Assembly (22c.)

This specialized suite of technology was specifically tailored to compensate for inefficiencies in the designs of certain 22nd century weaponry, allowing them to function at much greater yields without debilitating side effects and other malfunctions. This universal console provides a boost to Power Transfer Rate and Maximum Weapons Power. In addition, activating Draining Bridge Officer abilities decreases your Weapons Power Cost significantly for several seconds.

Set Bonuses

  • 2-Piece Bonus:  "Careless Overload"

Activate a special firing mode that increases rate of fire, damage, and number of affected targets, for your Phase Cannon and Spatial Torpedo. This mode does not affect other weapons, and overrides all other firing modes for the included weapons that do benefit.

After the mode has run its course, these weapons will be unusable for a short amount of time.

  • 3-Piece Bonus:  "Careful Tuning"

Improves the "Careless Overload" ability by reducing its recharge time. Additionally, your Phase Cannon and Spatial Torpedo will no longer be offline after the mode's duration completes.

NOTE: The above stats and systems are subject to change.
