Star Trek Online

Command the T'Pau Scout Ship!

By Ambassador Kael | Mon 21 Jan 2019 09:00:00 AM PST

During Star Trek Online’s 9th Anniversary event you will be able to obtain 9th Anniversary Prize Vouchers by participating in the event. These 9th Anniversary Prize Vouchers can be spent on an Event Reputation project to obtain the Tier 6 Vulcan T'Pau Scout Ship! This project requires 1000 9th Anniversary Prize Vouchers. 200 of these Prize Vouchers can be earned by completing the new episode “Para Pacem” for the first time, and an additional 200 can be earned by completing the new episode “Illusion of Communication” for the first time.

Once this starship is obtained by any character on your account, all of the characters on your account will be able to claim the Vulcan T'Pau Scout Ship [T6] from the Account Claim tab within the Event Store (in the Event Reputation window).

We are also excited to announce that this starship will be available January 23rd on PC, and Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on a later date!

This starship continues the experiment started by the Walker-class Prototype Light Exploration Cruiser and expanded by the Mirror Escort Carrier [T6] as another scaling starship! We hope you share in our excitement as we continue exploring the concept of scaling starships, and see how this may shape the way you fly ships in the future of Star Trek Online at all levels.

If commissioned at low level, some of the ship’s capabilities will be restricted temporarily, but will quickly and automatically unlock as you increase your Captain’s level. At each Tier, this ship remains a strong competitor to other ships of the same tier (and outdoing them in many ways!), and keeps getting better as you continue to play Star Trek Online. The table below shows you the progression of Hull Strength, Weapon slots, and Console slots you will experience as you level up.

Note that although Starship Mastery may be earned immediately, unlocking the Starship Trait does not permit its use until at least level 50.

Without further ado, here are the complete ship details related to this experimental new starship!

Vulcan T'Pau Scout Ship [T6]

Named after one of Vulcan’s greats, the T’Pau-class is a truly logic-driven design for a scout ship, with flexible seating to adapt to the situation at hand, high mobility to efficiently cover space, powerful primary and secondary deflectors to protect the vessel thoroughly, and powerful combat capabilities to deter any outside forces from interfering with its mission.

This Starship features a Lieutenant Commander Intelligence Specialization seat.

Scout Ships are a unique combination of Science Vessel capabilities, in a much smaller, faster and more fragile package. They come with built-in Sensor Analysis and Subsystem Targeting, as well as a Secondary Deflector slot, and are able to benefit from Raider Flanking bonuses as well. These nimble vessels are also similar to a Raider in that they boast an abundance of Universal Bridge Officer seats, can load dual cannons, and have similar weapon slot configurations.

This Starship comes equipped with a Console - Universal - Rebounding Resonant Frequencies. When activated, this console blasts the target with negative energy that lingers for a short duration, causing all of the damage they deal to be reflected back at themselves.

After achieving level 5 in the T'Pau Scout Ship Starship Mastery, you will unlock the "Emergency Response Teams" Starship Trait. While slotted, when any shield facing becomes depleted, you gain a significant amount of Secondary Shields for ~30 seconds. While the Secondary Shielding remains, activating any Science or Intel abilities heal your hull and shields.

This starship can be used from any level, upon completion of the tutorial experience. As you level up, this ship gains additional hull, weapon slots, and console slots.

Console – Universal – Rebounding Resonant Frequencies

The T’Pau Scout Ship comes equipped with a Rebounding Resonant Frequencies console. When activated, this console blasts the target with negative energy that lingers for a short duration, causing all of the damage they deal to be reflected back at themselves.

This console also provides a passive boost to Maximum Hitpoints and Weapon Hull Penetration.

This Console can be equipped in any console slot. It may be equipped on any ship. You may only equip one of these consoles.

Emergency Response Teams (Starship Trait)

After achieving level 5 in the Vulcan Scout Ship, you will unlock the Emergency Response Teams starship trait. While slotted, when any shield facing becomes depleted, you gain a significant amount of Secondary Shields that lasts up to 30 seconds. While the Secondary Shielding remains, activating any Science or Intel abilities heal your hull and shields.

NOTE: The above stats and systems are subject to change.
