Dev Blog: Sharandar Campaign - New & Old

By Julia (nitocris83) | Tue 12 Jan 2021 07:00:00 AM PST

Our return to the land of Sharandar for all new adventures brings with it a new campaign, or I should say, 3 new mini campaigns.

Sharandar will release across three updates, each bringing a new adventuring area and an associated campaign along with it.

These will look a little different from our traditional campaigns. While the weekly haul is still a main part of the setup, the tasks resemble that of our Redeemed Citadel event where you fill a bar that unlocks the rewards along the way.

These new zones requires an item level of 40,000 to start their campaigns. However, there will be an event running for the first two weeks from launch that turns this requirement off, and as long as you complete the intro mission during that time you will not only retain access to the content if below 40,000 Item Level, but you will also be scaled up to 40,000 Item Level when in those zones. So make sure to check it out when it goes live!

Old Sharandar

With our revisit to Sharandar, the old campaign and zones will be going away.

The boons from the old Sharandar campaign are included in the new campaign

The boon tasks in the new campaigns line up with the old campaign boon order. If you received the first two boons from old Sharandar, but not the 3rd-5th, then the first two boon tasks in the new Sharandar will award 1 boon point and the third, fourth and fifth tasks will award 2 boon points.

Old Sharandar currency will be listed in a new obsolete category in the Riches tab and be highlighted red. It will be able to be exchanged at the Antiquities Scholar in Protector’s Enclave.

The campaign keys for Malabog’s Castle and Master of the Hunt have moved to the Wondrous Bazaar for 2,500 AD and remain once a day purchases.

We hope you enjoy our return to Sharandar and all of the new adventures that await!
