It all comes down to this! The second part of our Steel Crusade update is going live on 9/18, and if the heroes can't stop production of Mechanon's nanovirus, organic life on Earth is doomed. Plus, this release will open up the new GATEWAY space station, plus Mechanon Coalition rewards!

Hope you brought your space suit, Champions...

"We've boarded Mechanon's orbital facility. We've lost our pilots, and our ride home, and we're understrength.

"The interior isn't pressurized, and we've got a hole right there that's open to vacuum, so I hope you don't feel like breathing.

"I'd say we're probably winning, sir."

When last we left our heroes, they were hot on the trail of Mechanon, having identified him as the villain behind the spontaneous combustions in Millennium City. UNTIL has evidence that he's planning a worldwide attack in just a few days from his cislunar space station. They'll need the heroes' help to bust into the station, destroy his nanovirus-building factory, and take out Mechanon himself.

As you may have guessed by the intro above, this plan does not go well at first.

Things look desperate for Earth, but there's still a chance, if the heroes can fight their way to Mechanon's system core. You'll need to make your way through the station, before ultimately confronting Mechanon himself in a challenging, multi-stage boss fight. Watch your step, though, because Mechanon doesn't see a need for gravity in his space station! You'll need to handle the robot hordes while floating/flying in zero-g.

This mission is balanced for a team of about three heroes, and just as with the other parts of the mission chain, this is a full instanced mission, and not an Alert.

We're also launching the new GATEWAY space station, a brand-new hub area for missions in outer space. Currently this is the only mission based out of GATEWAY, but we've got some future plans that'll require space suits, so keep an eye open for that.

Plus, with this update you'll be able to spend your Mechanon Coalition Recognition, earned from the daily missions in the Steel Crusade chain. The new Recognition store has a number of useful items, including costume pieces and more!

As if that wasn't enough, we're still going strong on our anniversary celebrations! Dr. Destroyer's hordes of Destroids are going to arrive in Millennium City soon, on 9/19 at 11am PDT. Make sure to make time for stomping them flat,
