In Neverwinter: Xbox, players will encounter various types of currencies as rewards for completing quests, selling loot and more. These currencies can be used to purchase everything from consumables to mounts, to high-end gear! There are varieties of currency players will encounter in Neverwinter, but for now we will focus on Gold, Astral Diamonds, Glory, Ardent and Celestial Coins and Seals. With any full-fledged MMO, knowing what you’re working with from an economic standpoint minimizes confusion and optimizes your playtime!

Gold will almost certainly be the first currency players will encounter when they arrive on the Sword Coast. Early on, players will earn Copper, later Silver and finally Gold. Every 100 Copper is one Silver, every 100 Silver is one Gold. If you’re a fan of the role-playing aspect of MMO’s, you’ll being paying attention to how much wealth you’re accumulating as well as where it spends. Gold aids players who reach the mid-game levels (30-40) by enabling the purchase of healing and buff consumables, as well as crafting/enchanting materials to maximize the potential of weapons and gear throughout that stage of leveling. Gold is accepted at most vendors for early-mid game items from Protector’s Enclave throughout all zones near campfire rest zones.

Astral Diamonds (AD) are the most flexible currency in Neverwinter, being useful throughout the entire game for gear, weapons, mounts, and more from vendors as well as the Auction House. The auction house is a platform for players to buy and sell goods with other players in Neverwinter. Typically, AD is earned through similar means as Gold, however, they’re also earned from completing Professions tasks. Leveling through the latter half of the game, AD will be your best friend. Accordingly, nearly all objectives will be rewarded with AD, including Dungeons, Skirmishes, and Daily PVP quests. Check in with Rhix in Protector’s Enclave to have every opportunity for AD each day.

Glory is the currency players will earn from PVP. It’s earned from participating in nearly all PVP activities: Domination matches, PVP Campaigns, Daily Quests, and rewards for PVP participation. A unique aspect of Glory is that how much you gain from completing events may be modified by Enchantments on gear and companions. Glory may be used to acquire items unique to Neverwinter’s PVP mode including a companion, artifacts, Battle Health Potions, and ultimately, top-tier armor.

Ardent Coins and Celestial Coins are gained from Invoking your character’s deity the first time on any given day. Players may invoke once an hour for free experience, consumables, and currency. Ardent Coins are spent in the Vault of Piety menu and can be used for weapons, elixirs, a unique companion & mount, or be exchanged for Seals. Celestial Coins are also spent in the Vault of Piety menu and can be exchanged for a diverse selection of rewards including refining items. One thing to note is that Celestial Coins will disappear completely if you do not invoke every 24 hours. Ardent Coins, however, remain on your character regardless of how often you invoke.

Seals are earned by Ardent Coin exchange or by completing dungeons. There are five different Seals in the game, all of which correspond to levels and which dungeons are available. Once you acquire Seals, travel to the Seven Suns Coaster Market in lower Protector’s Enclave to exchange them for unique adventuring equipment.
