Hi everyone, Sean “Commander Ander” McCann here to talk to you about the new quests written by R.A Salvatore. When you’re ready for adventure, you’ll be able to access these quests at level 60 by talking to Captain Belgold in Protector’s Enclave. There are nine quests in total that take the players to various locales across the Sword Coast.
We don’t want to give too much away, but here are a few hints as to what you’ll be up against.
You’ll work together with characters like Thibbledorf Pwent and Regis to keep the Sword Coast safe from emerging threats. The Neverwinter Guard have reports of Ashmadai camps emerging in Neverwinter Wood, Thayans kidnapping villagers, Orcs rampaging through the countryside, and Drow attacking farms in the middle of the night. You’ll visit several different locations, from a village under assault to the Throne of the Dwarven Gods itself in Gauntlgrym.
(The Throne of the Dwarven Gods)
I don’t want to spoil the end of the quest, but let’s just say the final artifact reward is a gift from a very grateful dwarven king. Additionally, players can earn achievements throughout the featured quest series by finding easter eggs and completing challenges. Players can replay these special quests once they’ve completed all nine to earn any missed achievements.
Completing these quests unlocks access to Mantol-Derith and the Underdark Campaign, the latter of which can be started at level 70. This access is unlocked for all characters on your account that are of the appropriate level. Alternate characters can still play the Salvatore quests, but players only need to complete the series once to gain access to Mantol-Derith.
We can’t wait for you to see all of the fun things R.A. Salvatore has in store for you! Keep an eye out for more information as we get closer to the release of Neverwinter: Underdark!
