Star Trek Online: Release Notes: April 28th 2016

General:

  • Resolved an issue that was causing lower performance on high end AMD CPUs.
    • This should also have a small improvement for players with Intel CPUs.
  • Added new perks for defeating Na’kuhl in space and ground.
  • Foundry: Added several existing NPCs as NPC Contacts.
  • Resolved an issue which was not correctly switching a player’s Small Craft to a Starship in numerous PvE Space Queues.
  • Resolved an issue that caused pet cats and Risian Caracals to not animate correctly.
  • Transwarping from the Fleet Mine to the Fleet Spire now works correctly if the fleet has unlocked the ability.
  • The female Na’kuhl Jodpurs no longer clip with hips.
  • The female Na’kuhl Visor doesn’t disappear as quickly when at a distance.
  • Reman Males no longer have access to the Caitian tails in the tailor.

 

Content:

  • Temporal Front:
    • The Na’kuhl base now has better collision to prevent being able to fly through it.
    • Players no longer take damage during the facility explosion cutscene.
    • Resolved an issue that was causing Na’kuhl to sometimes get stuck behind the door during "Defeat Vosk's Remaining Forces" phase.
    • Flying into the Na'kuhl Facility's portal will now destroy player ships.
    • More civilian NPCs have been added to the Romulan Embassy.
  • Gasko Blues:
    • Resolved an issue in the last map where enemies would not fight.
    • Resolved an issue where a bright sphere of light was showing through walls.
  • Resolved an issue with Storming the Spire Elite where occasionally, the team would fail the moment the team warped into the map.
  • Search for New Romulus: Resolved an issue where enemy Syphon Frigates would not fight.
  • Romulan Tutorial: Resolved an issue where the audio was not consistent throughout the system map.
  • Diplomatic Orders: Resolved an issue which was causing Monks to get stuck running in a cliff.
  • Report to Gamma Orionis: Resolved an issue where the Waypoint was placed on the wrong location.
  • City on the Edge of Never: Resolved an issue which caused the audio dialogue to be out of order for the Guardian.
  • What Lies Beneath: Resolved some collision issues with floor grating in the computer core level where the player could get stuck against the grating lying flat on the floor.
  • The Ultimate Klingon: Resolved an issue that could sometimes cause a crash in the Korvat Medical Lab.
  • Removed references to the “Federation Diplomatic Corps” which hasn’t existed for a while.
  • Resolved an issue where the Mission Door and associated star were blinking on and off for “Deep Space Encounter - Intelligence Disaster”.

 

Systems:

  • Skill Revamp:
    • Resolved an issue where some Ground Bridge Officer abilities which are based off of Captain Abilities were no longer appearing to be available.
    • Resolved an issue where the green box on step 3 of 7 of the tutorial didn’t end.
    • Resolved an issue where the skills list didn’t list the player’s Regeneration or Weapon Penetration skill.
    • Made the unlock selection button smaller for the Choice Selection options to decrease the chance of accidently clicking on the wrong skill.
    • Threatening Posture on Ground no longer benefits from the effects of Threat Control Unlock which is a Space Skill.
    • Threatening Posture on Ground now grants +300% Threat Generation while active, up from +200%.
    • Defense and Accuracy Skill Unlocks have been repaired so that they function.
      • Descriptions updated to match functionality of +2% instead of displaying as +5%.
    • The Ground Skills Offensive Mastery and Defensive Mastery unlocks now offer all listed benefits instead of only partial. 
    • The Ground Unlock Furious Footwork description has been updated to match the functionality of its 5 second duration. 
    • Resolved an issue that was causing the Training Manual unlock for Jam Sensors III to require 12 Tactical Points instead of 7.
    • Resolved a typo in Drain Expertise's skill description. 
    • Changed wording of description on the Ground Skill Weapon Proficiency to say "ground weapons" instead of "ranged weapons" as this skill can also improve melee weapons. 
    • Removed reference to the old Skill Points in the Personal Info window.
  • Admiralty:
    • Updated text on the Romulan D'deridex Warbird Battlecruiser Retrofit: "+10 ENG per Cruiser" -> "+10 ENG per EngShip".
    • Romulan Republic Universal Tech Upgrades are now improved by Upgrade Weekends.
    • Updating the description of the Romulan Republic Upgrade Kits to show they have No Dilithium Cost in big text.
    • Admiralty Ship "(1x) Battlecruiser (T6)" is now correctly categorized as an EngShip.
    • Corrected spelling of "Republic" in Investigate Republic Distress Signal.
    • Resolved an issue where the "Collect Rewards" button displayed on "View Details" tab after campaign mission failure.
  • Kit Modules:
    • Universal Kit Modules no longer benefit from Duty Officers which specifically affect Engineering Kits, Science Kits, or Tactical Kits.
    • Elite Fleet Armors with the [Nanite] mod will no longer continuously trigger effects intended to affect Engineering Kit Modules.
    • All of the Intelligence Kit Modules for the shield stealing ability are now uniformly named "Resonant Tachyon Stream".
    • Intel Kit Module abilities no longer benefit from effects that are intended to affect Science, Engineering or Tactical Kits specifically.
    • All Captain Abilities no longer benefit from effects that are intended to affect Kit Modules of any kind.
    • All Duty Officer Abilities no longer benefit from effects that are intended to affect Kit Modules of any kind.
    • All Universal Kit Modules may now benefit from abilities that are intended to affect "All Kit Modules." 
    • Resolved a typo on "Special Equipment Pack - Na'kuhl Modules" that was displaying the wrong ability name.
  • Na’kuhl Enemy Ships:
    • Resolved an issue where the Emit Unstable Warp Bubble was not blocking Na'kuhl from using distortions or the Unstable Kemocite Platform.
    • Resolved an issue where the Khaerops Dreadnought distortions did not always use the correct art.
    • Tadaari Frigates can now be knocked out of Cloak by abilities which break Cloaks.
  • Na'kuhl biotoxin clouds created by crawler mines no longer affect players wearing active EV suits. 
  • Resolved an issue where Shield Technician was causing shields to appear when cloaked. 
  • Resolved an issue that was causing Greedy Emitters to render the player completely immune to Weapon Power Drain from firing multiple energy weapons.
    • This trait now properly only reduces this drain. 
  • Feedback Pulse will no longer generate Inspiration each time a player is shot while it's active.
    • Only activation of the power will actually generate Inspiration.
  • The Unstable Entanglement Platform now lasts a maximum of 60 seconds once deployed, regardless of external factors.
  • The run speed on Close Quarters Combatant will now give a static 3% run speed buff.
  • Resolved an issue that removed some of the Agony Modulator's descriptive text.
  • The Training Manual for Medical Generator III may now be used to train Engineering Bridge Officers with this ability. 
  • Haste now correctly affects both time between weapon cycles and time between shots.
  • Gravity Well, Tyken's Rift and Subspace Vortex will now more reliably trigger attached effects, such as those triggered by Exotic Damage abilities and Control Effects.
  • Increased the proc chance of the Withering Disruptor ground weapons to 5% to match other ground weapon proc chances. 
  • Resolved an issue with Chroniton Jolt's Run Speed debuff constantly fluctuating in value.
  • Resolved an issue which was displaying incorrect icons on Revitalize II and Boost Morale II, from the Command Specialization.
  • Arc preview for Wide Angle Voth Transphasic-Chroniton Launcher now accurately shows 180-degrees instead of 90-degrees. 
  • The passive effect on "Console - Universal - Plasma Wave" has been reduced from +25% to +20% and now properly only affects Energy and Projectile Weapons instead of all sources of Plasma damage.
  • Resolved an issue that was causing Fleet Support to not have any description/tooltip under certain circumstances. 
  • Resolved an issue that was causing Telepathic traits to improve Expose Chance more than intended. 
  • Updated description on Stubborn so that the listed recharge time matches the actual recharge time of 4 minutes. 
  • Updated description of Crippling Fire to match mechanics "...may stack up to four times".
  • Cleaned up the long description of Attrition Warfare I/II to correctly spell Regeneration. 
  • The Fleet K’T’inga Battle Cruiser Retrofit now has a correct icon for its T5-U version.

 

UI:

  • The Emote window will stay pinned in place after using a emote until it’s unpinned.
  • Resolved an issue where the rank number on Sweeping Strikes constantly blinked in and out.
  • Increased the width and made a larger font for the displayed Duty Officer XP in the Commendations window.
    • Also resolved some issues with the Overview window for this when resizing it.
  • The banner for Future Proof now correctly reflects the KDF and Romulan faction in the journal.
  • The default view for the Duty Officer filters no longer has overlapping or cut off text.
  • Removed the sort by “Skill Points” option in the queue reward filter.
     

Known Issues:

  • The Assignments to recruit Romulan Bridge officers do not appear
  • Selecting “Ready Starship” in the ship selector is not moving slotted items over to the ship for some players.
  • Subnucleonic Beam can reset the cooldown of Ablative Shell
  • The Polaric Modulator Console's engine power boost doesn't apply after moving to another map.
