Each week we’ll roll out new rewards for the Featured Episode “Time and Tide.” The first week’s rewards are the Chronometric Polaron Beam Array and the Chronometric Polaron Dual Heavy Cannons. In addition, the first completion of this mission on an account this week will grant a Featured Episode Weekly Reward Box. This box gives your choice of an Enhanced Universal Tech Upgrade or a Captain Specialization Point Box, which gives the character who opens it a Specialization Point. The Weekly Reward Box, Tech Upgrade, and Specialization Point Box are all Bound to Account, and may be freely traded between your characters. The Specialization Point Box requires the opening character to be level 50 or above.

Inspired by the Krenim’s Chroniton weapons research, Chronometric Polaron energy weapons are the result of experiments to weaponize Chronometric particles. These weapons function by suspending Chronometric particles within a Polaron discharge, which guides the particles to their intended target. The suspended Chronometric particles occasionally feed back into the firing ship’s weapon systems, allowing the ship’s energy weapons to partially bypass shields.

Both the Chronometric Polaron Beam Array and Chronometric Polaron Dual Heavy Cannons count as an energy weapon within the Chronometric Calculations set. Collect additional pieces from this set to unlock powerful set bonuses:

Chronometric Calculations Set

Cyclical Auxiliary Conduits (2 piece)

This 2 piece bonus increases the Auxiliary power level of your ship.

Chronometric Energy Converter (3 piece)

This 3 piece bonus increases energy weapon and exotic damage when activated. The energy weapon damage buff is based on your Auxiliary power, while the exotic damage buff is based on your Weapon power.

Chronometric Focusing Array (4 piece)

This 4 piece bonus increases the Krenim Chroniton Torpedo’s proc chance, and increases the duration of Chronometric Energy Converter.
