We're ready to announce the streamers we're going to promote! Contrary to what we said on this blog, we've reached out to all adventurers below by sending them a message on Twitch - if you don't see it, check your Other inbox. So congratulations to the streamers below:
For those weren't initially chosen, please don't let this bring you down. There was a larger number of potential streamers than we had anticipated, which made our decision all the more difficult. We clocked in insane amounts of time to watch streams and can genuinely say that everyone was great! We fully intend to increase the number of streamers we promote as we're seeing this as a trial run more than anything else. So please continue to stream Neverwinter and give us a call out to check it out when you do! Again, this will be a rolling thing, so we'll keep adding streamers to the list.
We support all streamers and ask that you guys support each other, as well!
Stage 1: "Audition" Stage (September 8-15)
Well met, adventurers! Some time ago, we announced a call for streamers and promised to give more information when the time came. After a staggering amount of interest from the streaming community, that time has come! We're excited to announce our plan to officially promote Neverwinter streamers and celebrate their devotion to the Forgotton Realms. Here's how it'll work:
We were pleasantly surprised by the number of streamers interested in our campaign to foster the community to not only promote players, but to have players promote others, as well. Due to the aforementioned submissions, we're holding an "audition" of sorts. Don't fret! This isn't an official audition at all where you must stream for us one at a time; it's merely a way for us to get to know you as a streamer.
On September 8 when Elemental Evil goes live, that's when we'll start scouring the Neverwinter Twitch page and watching as many streams as possible within the week. As we're people too and need our sleep, we'll most likely be hopping in between 10am - 7pm PDT though there's a chance we'll be watching even past that time. Once September 15 comes around, we'll gather our notes and head on to the next stage. Don't stop streaming after Sep. 15 though, but also, make sure to stay healthy and get some rest.
Just a side note: we probably won't be speaking much in chat as we don't want to bring any attention to us. More likely than not, we'll be lurking. When it's time for us to leave the stream, we'll type something out to notify you that we've watched it. Once we watch a channel, that's not it! We'll probably come back from time to time, so expect us to be watching on multiple days.
Stage 2: Streamers Announced! (September 18)
On September 18 at 1pm PDT, we'll announce the 10 or so streamers that we'd like to promote through our social channels, blog and on the forums. Keep an eye out for a forum PM! We'd like to start promoting these streamers as early as Monday September 21! If you're chosen, we'll give you all the information you need in our first message to you, including codes for items you can give away during your streams - and a little something for yourself! We're only going to promote one streamer a day, so we'll need to set up a calendar of sorts and work together to create it. It'll be a lot at once.
For those who aren't initially chosen, keep streaming! We've said it before, but we're always watching streamers on Twitch and will continue to do so. We'll be looking into expanding our initial group of streamers if all goes well, so don't give up!
Stage 3: Let the Streams Begin! (As early as September 21 and as late as September 28)
Once we have our calendar settled, the streams will begin! We'll post the schedule and promote our streamers through our social channels and our own streams when it's time. That's it! Simple enough, right?
We can't wait to get this started and to watch everyone stream away! No doubtedly, there will be questions coming in, so make sure to check back here for updates on the process.
