Champions, we're coming up on the end of our anniversary extravaganza, but Mechanon's saved the best for last! From now until next Thursday morning, face off against a mega-sized Mechanon for hourly rewards, including exclusive action figures, costume pieces, and more.

Every hour around Champions HQ -- just east of Renaissance Center -- six Mega-Destroids will spawn. The Champions will be there to help, but you'll need to gather as many players as you can to take them on.

When the first Mega-Destroid is destroyed, though, Mechanon makes his entrance. The remaining Mega-Destroids will either continue fighting as normal or be converted into Liberated Mega-Destroids, with Damage and Max Health upgraded by Mechanon. They'll also have a boosted Anti-Vehicular Beam. The upgrade buff increases over time, so hit 'em fast and hit 'em hard!

Piece of advice: Focus on the Mega-Destroids first, but try to time it so that they all drop at the same time. Once Mechanon spawns, he'll start making each Mega-Destroid harder to kill. Bring all the Mega-Destroids down to about 10% health before downing the first one, then clean up the remaining Mega-Destroids before focusing on Mechanon. Remember, Mechanon is the main event, not the appetizer!

If you manage to take down Mechanon and all six Mega-Destroids, you'll earn a chance box with a random reward. Many of these rewards are brand-new, including Mechanon's own head costume pieces, new henchmen, and action figures. You can also get Mechanon Coalition Recognition to trade in for even more rewards!

(Remember, this event spawns on all instances. Once you've collected your reward, switch to another instance and help your fellow heroes out!)

Slime Skin Aura: Look like you just walked out of the sewers, or give your zombie hero that six-feet-under feeling! This is a full-body aura.

Mechanon's Head costume pieces: If you get this prize, you'll unlock both Mechanon's head and his horns.

Action Figures: Get three new action figures, based off Mechanon and his minions from this event.

Make sure to play this as much as possible over the weekend, heroes. This event will only run until October 1st!
